About us
We don't just sell policies —
Generational Ownership Development is an insurance agency built for families who are creating wealth that has to outlast them. Our job is to make sure it does.
Our mission
What we are actually here to do
The mission is one sentence, and everything else on this site is downstream of it.
Our mission is simple: to help you protect, grow, and transfer wealth for generations to come.
Three verbs, in order. Protect comes first because nothing else matters if an unexpected death wipes out the household's income. Growcomes second, because coverage that only pays out at the end is doing half a job.Transfer comes last because it is the hardest part, and the part the industry talks about least.
Most agents stop at the first verb. That is where the commission is easiest and the conversation is shortest. We think a family that only gets the first verb has been underserved, even if the policy they bought was perfectly good.
Our approach
Four principles, and what they mean in practice
These are not slogans. Each one changes something about how a meeting with us goes.
Family-Focused Strategy
We plan around your family's actual situation, not a template.
Wealth Building Mindset
Coverage that protects what you have and helps build what you pass on.
Customized Solutions
The right policy depends on your budget, your health, and who depends on you.
Trusted Guidance for Generations
We stay with you as your family, your income, and your needs change.
In practice this means we will sometimes talk you out of the more expensive policy. If you are thirty-four with two young children and a mortgage, a large term life policy may protect your family far better than a small permanent one, and cost less doing it. If you are sixty and want something that will definitely be there, whole life may be the honest answer even though it costs more per month.
The right recommendation depends on your age, your health, your budget, and who depends on you. Anyone who tells you one product is always the answer is selling, not advising.
Each of our coverage options has its own page explaining what the product is, who it fits, and who it does not — including the parts that cost you money.
Who we serve
Black and brown families building something that lasts
We are specific about this because the industry usually is not. Being clear about who we built this for is how you know whether it was built for you.
Families building first-generation wealth
You may be the first person in your family to own a home, run a business, or have real assets to pass on. Nobody handed you a playbook for this, and the industry has rarely bothered to explain itself to you. We start from what you actually want to happen, then work backwards to the coverage.
Business owners protecting what they built
If your business would struggle without you, a partner, or one essential employee, that exposure is worth naming out loud. Key person coverage and buy-sell funding keep a company from being forced into a sale at the worst possible moment.
Parents planning the transfer
Wealth that moves cleanly to the next generation is not an accident. It is beneficiary designations that are current, coverage that survives you, and a family that knows what exists and where to find it.
Adults planning for final expenses
People over fifty get targeted by some of the most aggressive marketing in this industry. We do the opposite: plain numbers, honest answers about graded benefits, and no pressure to decide today.
Our founder
The person behind the agency

Licensing
Where we are licensed, and how to check
Insurance is licensed state by state, and not every product is available in every state. Rather than make a blanket claim about our footprint, we publish the license record itself and keep it current.
You can verify any insurance license directly with your state's department of insurance — you do not have to take our word for it, and you should not take any agent's word for it.
See our licensing information and required consumer disclosures, or contact us and we will confirm what we can offer in your state before we quote anything.
